About Me

Hello! My name is Katrina Gaedcke (pronounced Gad-key, don’t let the crazy spelling scare you), my friends call me Kat. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and as a child I was wildly imaginative, aka a talented liar, so it was only natural that I would find my way into acting. From originating groundbreaking productions in my grandparents’ attic, to participating in every after-school acting camp I came across, my early years as an actor were rife with opportunities to nurture my creativity. This passion for storytelling carried me all the way through my high school graduation.

Torn between diving headfirst into the industry or enjoying a little bit more time in the live music capital of the world, I found the perfect combination of the two through the BFA Acting program at The University of Texas at Austin. There, I had the chance to study with some amazing artists, accumulate both film and theatre experience, and develop a myriad of new skills, including how to self-produce films with friends!

Now I split my time between Texas and Los Angeles, filling my spare time (what little there ever is) with taking acting classes, training in Brazilian Jiujitsu and Muay Thai, hosting girls' nights, and going on as many hikes and long walks as I can squeeze in. I love being outdoors, writing stories, learning new things, and spending time with my friends and family. I'm deeply passionate about psychology, so I'm most drawn to projects that explore the dark and dramatic, but I also love a good sci-fi or action-adventure film, so you'll definitely catch me auditioning for the new "The Mummy" movie with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz!
